My name is Michal, I was born and raised in a religious community near Tel Aviv. Upon moving to the States I started teaching Hebrew to students of all ages. Thus I became passionate about Jewish education and have been doing so for over a decade.
Throughout my career, I have led many Hebrew school programs, prepared dozens of students for their Bat and Bar Mitzvahs, and taught advanced Hebrew grammar, Tanakh and Talmud. After years of teaching, I have started this blog to share my ideas and help parents and educators incorporate Hebrew into their daily lives.
As an educator, I encounter many frustrated Jewish parents who are unhappy with what traditional Hebrew school programs offer at their local synagogue. The reality is that learning Hebrew requires more than just attending a program or hiring a tutor once or twice a week. Hebrew needs to be a part of the everyday interactions with your little ones. Unlike English, an international language to which people outside the US gain daily exposure, Hebrew will not come naturally to your child unless you take some proactive steps.
This is where my blog comes in. I offer parents and educators tools and tips on Hebrew usage in a fun and engaging way. My blog provides resources to help you learn Hebrew together in a way that is accessible and enjoyable.
